Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild takes viewers on excursions around the world through the eyes of America’s most beloved animal adventurer and his family. At the end of 2015, Jack Hanna ventured to Ecuador and visited the Galápagos Islands aboard our very own M/V Galapagos Legend.
Accompanied by his wife, Suzi, Jack visited the Fernandina and Rabida Islands, where they were met by hundreds of marine iguanas, sea lions, sally light-footed crabs, lava lizards, finches, cormorants and even a black-tipped shark and a Galapagos Hawk. “It’s like everybody is here!” They said, genuinely shocked to be seeing so much diversity in such a small area.
What most caught Jack and Suzi’s attention was how close they were able to get to the animals in their own habitat. Suzi commented on that fact that most of the animals didn’t even notice they were there. Not only did the animals and wildlife delight these seasoned travelers, the beauty and preservation of the landscape also caught their eye as well. Sunsets in the Galapagos are often awe-inspiring, life changing moments. Jack and Suzi (and their crew) many call the Galapagos experience – as it’s something you cannot describe, only see and feel, and we are so pleased they chose to journey with us.
The adventure was chronicled for all the world to see in Jack Hanna’s Into The Wild episode (Best of Galapagos) and just recently aired, inspiring many people to finally start planning their bucket list trip and others to decide they simply must go to the Galapagos!
Are you one of those people? We would love to take you on the journey of your lifetime.
