When is the best time to go to Ecuador?
Since Ecuador is located on the Equator, there are not defined seasons. This means travelers can visit Ecuador any time of the year. Ecuadorians will often tell you that you should expect all four seasons of the year every single day. Although, there is a slightly wetter and dryer season, these variations are unpredictable and change depending on where you are in Ecuador.
Quito and the highlands are comfortable year-round, with temperatures usually in the 60º F (16 ºC) during the day and occasional light rainy days. The Amazon region is hot, humid, and wet year-round with somewhat heavier rainfall season from April to June. But even the rains can be a refreshing break from the heat and humidity, so any time of year is a fine choice.
