[:en]Our journey begins early in the morning, and it will allow us to observe part of the great biodiversity treasure located only 52 miles northwest of Quito.  We will come across in front of the famous complex “Ciudad Mitad del Mundo” well known as the Middle of the World. On the road, we will have the opportunity to see different landscapes with a variety of vegetation and animal species.  Our first stop is in Alambi Reserve, a beautiful, pristine,  and peaceful place, home to different types of birds, butterflies, and flowers such as orchids and bromeliads. Alambi describes itself as:  “The forest and its conservation is the heart of what’s Alambi are all about, through ecotourism we guarantee that we will preserve this beautiful cloud forest in Ecuador’s north-west for generations to come.”

Our trip continues in Mindo,  a famous hotspot for birdwatchers and adventurers. This small town is situated in the “Andes Chocó” corridor which is an extensive area known for its biodiversity.  Once in town, we will visit a farm with butterflies to learn more about their life cycle and interesting facts about their feeding and natural contribution. Lunchtime will be followed with free-time to explore Mindo’s natural beauty.

After the excursion, we will head back to your hotel in Quito.[:es]Nuestro viaje comienza temprano en la mañana, y nos permitirá observar parte del gran tesoro de biodiversidad ubicado a solo 52 millas al noroeste de Quito. Nos encontraremos frente al famoso complejo “Ciudad Mitad del Mundo”, conocido como la Mitad del Mundo. En el camino, tendremos la oportunidad de ver diferentes paisajes con una variedad de vegetación y especies animales. Nuestra primera parada es en la Reserva Alambi, un lugar hermoso, prístino y tranquilo, hogar de diferentes tipos de pájaros, mariposas y flores, como orquídeas y bromelias. Alambi se describe a sí mismo como: “El bosque y su conservación es el corazón de lo que se trata Alambi, a través del ecoturismo garantizamos que preservaremos este hermoso bosque nublado en el noroeste de Ecuador para las generaciones venideras”.
Nuestro viaje continúa en Mindo, un famoso punto de acceso para observadores de aves y aventureros. Este pequeño pueblo está situado en el corredor “Andes Chocó”, que es un área extensa conocida por su biodiversidad. Una vez en la ciudad, visitaremos una granja con mariposas para aprender más sobre su ciclo de vida y datos interesantes sobre su alimentación y contribución natural. La hora del almuerzo será seguida con tiempo libre para explorar la belleza natural de Mindo.
Después de la excursión, regresaremos a su hotel en Quito.[:]
